Christmas In September

Keystone Military News is my kind of people. They are thinking ahead. They are thinking about our men and women in the sandbox. They have a list and they're checking it twice.

What am I talking about? Well, check this out.

They have a lofty goal of creating and sending 5,000 stockings to the troops for Christmas. 5,000. And they can't do it alone.

Here's your chance to give yourself a little something for Christmas. The feeling of making someone smile. The feeling of easing a bit of that homesick hurt that comes at being away from all those you know and love.

what's the plan? Easy.

They need people to start buying or making stockings. They should be 12" or larger, but not too big as they need be filled and shipped.

They need people to help gather the gifts to put in these stockings. Travel size toiletries, individually wrapped snacks, candy canes, games, gum - be creative!!!

They need help with the postage. And there are options there - they got paypal, or you can mail in a check or money order.

See, easy enough if we all pull together. And just think of the satisfaction you'll feel.

So come on folks - put on those Santa hats and get to work. It's for our troops. It's the very least we can do.
